GRAYSLAKE IL - The Lake County Folk Club welcomes Chicago’s official troubadour back to their live stream concert stage on Sunday, June 20 at 7:00 pm.

“Mark is a Midwest treasure,” said concert director Scott Engstrom. “He’s been on the road for a lot of years it seems and like fine wine, he just get’s better with age. We’re thrilled to have him back at the club.”

Dvorak who is working on a new collection of essays and a new CD release is a charter member of the Lake County Folk Club.

“I feel like at this stage of the game,” said the singer, “I’m doing my best work.”

“Like every other musician, I’ve had some time on my hands,” he said. “I decided to use the time to go back through my notes and notebooks to see what was in there, and what I might be able to come up with. I’ve been writing and recording for the last nine months, and attending to projects I didn’t have time to dig into before the pandemic.”

Dvorak’s upcoming book, 31 Winters, reflects on his long teaching career at Chicago's Old Town School of Folk Music and is due out later this year. Live & Alone will be his 19th recorded release, and is a set recorded in an empty concert for a live WFMT 98.7 fm broadcast.
