“Anne is one of the most beloved voices in folk music,” said Wesley’s director Ed Ellis. “She’s been a Chicago favorite for decades and a Wesley’s favorite since we opened the doors. We’re really thrilled.”

Hills has released dozens of albums and enjoyed international acclaim. She has had lengthy collaborations with the late songwriter Michael P. Smith, Tom Paxton and many others. The AllMusic Guide says, “A stunning soprano tone has made Anne Hills one of contemporary music’s premiere vocalists. Her knack for writing heartfelt songs brought her to the upper echelon in her craft.”

Folk singer songwriter Mark Dvorak will host the evening and perform an opening set. Dvorak’s original material has been called “wondrous” and “profound.” In 2012 WFMT 98.7 fm Midnight Special radion show named him “Chicago’s official troubadour.” www.markdvorak.com.

Since 2022 Wesley’s Place Live Music Venue has been presenting live music in the chapel at the First United Methodist Church of La Grange, 100 W. Cossitt Avenue.

“We’ve expanded our program for the 2026 season,” said Ellis. “We’ve added more shows to the schedule, and improved our publicity effort. Our last two shows were near sellouts. We’re gaining momentum and building a reputation for presenting the very best in folk and local acoustic music.”

Tickets to the family-friendly show are $20 and available at the door. Advance reservations can be made at  www.wesleysplacemusic.com
