Rockford acoustic artists Dan Maguire and The Lone Canary perform in La Grange July 10

LA GRANGE IL - Wesley’s Place Live Music Venue presents an acoustic evening with Rockford’s Dan Maguire and the duo, Lone Canary, on Friday July 10 at 7:00 pm. The event takes place at the First United Methodist Church of La Grange, 100 W. Cossitt Avenue.
Singer songwriter Dan Maguire was born to a musical family in Tulsa, Oklahoma. His journey in music has spanned many genres including jazz and classical but eventually evolved into original rock and roll projects in Denver and finally Rockford.

His 2023 album Travelin’ Light earned him Album of the Year from the Rockford Area Music Industry Awards. Learn more at www.danmaguiremusic.com.
The Lone Canary is the award-winning Americana duo of Jesse Fox and Heather Camacho. Their music draws inspiration from artists such as Jason Isbell, The Civil Wars, Watchhouse and Gilliam Welch. www.thelonecanary.com.

Folk singer songwriter Mark Dvorak will host the evening and perform an opening set. Dvorak’s original material has been called “wondrous” and “profound.” In 2012 WFMT 98.7 fm Midnight Special radion show named him “Chicago’s official troubadour.” www.markdvorak.com.
Since 2022 Wesley’s Place Live Music Venue has been presenting live music in the chapel at the First United Methodist Church of La Grange, 100 W. Cossitt Avenue.
“We’ve expanded our program for the 2026 season,” said Ellis. “We’ve added more shows to the schedule, and improved our publicity effort. Our last three shows were near sellouts. We’re gaining momentum and building a reputation for presenting the very best in folk and local acoustic music.”
