Americana duo Crowes Pasture performs in La Grange September 18
LA GRANGE IL - Wesley’s Place Live Music Venue will feature an acoustic evening with singer songwriter David Roth on Friday, September 18 at 7:00 pm. The event takes place at the First United Methodist Church of La Grange, 100 W. Cossitt Avenue.
“David strikes many chords and touches many hearts with his unique songs,” said Wesley’s Place founder and music director Ed Ellis of La Grange. “His obersvations are off beat with a sense of the hilarious. We’re thrilled to have him back at Wesley’s."
Roth is not only a songwriter and recording artist, he also is a keynote speaker a worship leader and instructor who has earned top honors premier songwriting competitions including Kerrville Folk Festival in Texas and the Falcon Ridge Festival in New York. www.davidrothmusic.com.
Folk singer songwriter Mark Dvorak will host the evening and perform an opening set. Dvorak’s original material has been called “wondrous” and “profound.” In 2012 WFMT 98.7 fm Midnight Special radion show named him “Chicago’s official troubadour.” www.markdvorak.com.

Since 2022 Wesley’s Place Live Music Venue has been presenting live music in the chapel at the First United Methodist Church of La Grange, 100 W. Cossitt Avenue.
“We’ve expanded our program for the 2026 season,” said Ellis. “We’ve added more shows to the schedule, and improved our publicity effort. Our last three shows were near sellouts. We’re gaining momentum and building a reputation for presenting the very best in folk and local acoustic music.”
