Community concert in Batavia supports Interfaith Food Pantry & Clothes Closet June 22
BATAVIA IL - The Batavia Public Library, 10 S. Batavia Avenue has partnered with Music & Potlucks, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, to present a special concert to support The Interfaith Food Pantry and Clothes Closet..



The event takes place on Sunday, June 22, 2:00 pm and features folk singer songwriter Mark Dvorak performing on guitar, 5-string banjo and 12-string guitar.

“We’ve presented over 200 events,” said Music & Potlucks co-director Stephanie Schrodt of River Forest. "Our mission is to present programs that gather our community together and at the same time provide some assistance to our neighbors in need. We’re thrilled to be partnering with the Sandwich community.”
The Interfaith Pantry and Closet is located at 431 N. Raddant Road and has served families in Batavia Township since 1981..
Singer songwriter Mark Dvorak has won awards for journalism and children’s music, and received the 2013 FARM Lantern Bearer Award from Folk Alliance International. In 2008 he was honored with the Woodstock Folk Festival Lifetime Achievement Award and in 2012 WFMT 98.7 fm Midnight Special host Rich Warren named him “Chicago’s official troubadour.”
“At this stage of the game said the singer, “I feel like I’m doing my best work.”
Those attending should bring one or more grocery bags of non-perishible food items, toiletries and in-season clothing items.
