In 2009, MD composed this anthem after listening to "Pete," Pete Seeger's 1996 CD produced by Paul Winter. Singer Ellen Shepard suggested Mark enter "Peace Wiill Come After All" in a Pete Seeger song contest. Ellen and Mark recorded the song after class at the Old Town School on Garage Band, overdubbing the vocal parts.
The song didn't win the contest, but here we are. Pete is gone. Pete is here. We carry on together. Peace Will Come After All.

Peace will come after all, peace will come after all
Peace will come after all, peace will come after all
What violent storm can rage, where peace does not belong?
through every living age, has peace been all along
When hatred strikes unbound, to try all human worth
those called to stand their ground, shall see heaven touch the earth
In every lonely place, what hope might last the night
would every voice embrace a humble peaceful light
Let sorrow then remain as time itself unwinds
each struggle and all pain, leave thee now behind
Peace will come after all, peace will come after all
Peace will come after all, peace will come after all
