MD returns to Rockford

ROCKFORD IL - Katie’s Cup, 502 7th Street welcomes Chicago’s “official troubadour” Mark Dvorak for an intimate acoustic evening Thursday, October 11 at 7:00 pm. 

Dvorak, who is busy at work on his eighteenth CD release is looking forward to coming back to Rockford for the weekday appearance. 


“Katie’s Cup is part of the musical renaissance that is taking place in communities all across America,” said the singer. “Rockford has a special vibrant acoustic scene and Katie’s provides the space for people to gather, to talk and to listen to music."

Dvorak has performed in thirty-eight states and in parts of Europe and Canada. He has released seventeen albums and has won awards for journalism and children’s music. In 2008 he received the Woodstock Folk Festival Lifetime Achievement Award and the Lantern Bearer Award from Folk Alliance International in 2013.

“At this stage of the game,” said Dvorak, “I feel like I’m doing my best work. I’m hoping to get the new recording outbid the end of the year and I’m very excited about it. I’ve got some new material coming along, and I’m including a bunch of different things I like to do before a live audience."
