Catch The Twain: The Musical at Ellisville Opera House June 17
ELLISVILLE IL - Hickory Ridge Concerts Concerts presents “Catch The Twain: The Musical” at the Ellisville Opera House on Saturday, June 17 at 7:00 pm. The Opera House is located at 140 E. Main Street.
Warren Brown has spent over thirty years researching the life and work of Twain and portraying America’s greatest humorist in spoken-word performances across the country. Folk musician and songwriter Mark Dvorak provides the sound track for Brown’s performance with old-time banjo tunes, period songs and audience participation.

“Warren Brown is Mark Twain,” said series director Chris Vallillo who is celebrating Hickory Ridge's 21st concert season. “The show is hilarious, profound and touching. Dvorak has been a Hickory favorite for years as a solo artist. When Warren announced the news of the collaboration, I jumped at the chance to bring ‘Catch The Twain’ to the Opera House”
The Blue Island Public Library calls Brown, “Better than Holbrook… almost as good as Twain,” and Humanities Nebraska says, “Brown reaches out to people and makes them laugh and learn at the same time.”
General admission seating is just $10 for adults, $5 for children under 12. For information 309.224.8210. Or visit www.chrisvallillo.com/hickory-ridge-concerts.
