Chicago triple play performas at Uncommon Ground October 20

CHICAGO IL - Uncommon Ground, 3800 N. Clark Street welcomes Chicago troubadour Mark Dvorak, recording artist Donna Adler and singer songwriter David Hawkins for an acoustic triple bill on Sunday, October 20 at 8:00 pm. Admission is $8. Dinner reservations guarantee seating for the show and can be made by calling 773 929 3680.

Dvorak, who was named "Chicago's Troubadour" by WFMT 98.7 fm fine arts radio last year,  is the 2013 recipient of FARM Lantern Bearer Award for his contribution to the field of folk music.  His songwriting has been called "wondrous," and "profound." His performance "an elegant balancing act of the traditional, the original and the powerful." The Chicago Tribune calls him "masterful," while SING OUT! magazine says, "Dvorak shines!"

Adler released Stories to Keep, earlier this year, and it received strong airplay in the Midwest. She grew up in Park Forest, Illinois and as a teenager, idolized Joni Mitchell, Emmy Lou Harris and Linda Ronstadt. As she began performing on the Chicago scene, she soaked up the influences of Steve Goodman and John Prine.

Hawkins, found his way to Chicago via, Detroit, Tulsa and New Orleans, picking musical flavors along the way. He his currently in the studio working on his newest recording project. His 2012 release, Hello Mr. Death & Other Love Songs scored radio attention across the country and made WDCB 90.9 fm top twenty CDs for the year.
