An evening of original song

DOWNERS GROVE, Illinois - Singer songwriters Walt Meder and Mark Dvorak will perform their original work on Saturday, December 29 from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm at Caribou Coffee, 5100 S. Main Street, Downers Grove. 

"I've always been a bit restless," said Meder, a Downers Grove resident, "and music has always been a way for me to relax."

Meder has released several CDs of original music.

"I found myself hanging around at the Old Town School of Folk Music in Chicago. I enrolled in different classes, and met some fantastic, musical people. The experience helped focus my writing and performing."

CHICAGO IL - Chicago Troubadour Mark Dvorak will host a special Old Town School of Folk Music Acoustic Open Stage at The Grafton Pub & Grill, 4530 N. Lincoln Avenue, Chicago IL, on Tuesday, January 8.

The music begins at 9:45 pm and performers can choose to present up to three songs.

"It's been a long time since I hosted an open stage," said Dvorak. "It'll be a special evening I'm sure, with a lot of folks from the Old Town School coming by to perform."

"The set up will be very simple. We'll only have two microphones available for the performers, and we won't have the option to plug in. …
