Off Square Music welcomes Chicago troubadour to new venue

WOODSTOCK IL - Off Square Music will present troubadour and song writer Mark Dvorak in concert at the Unity Spiritual Center, 225 Calhoun Street on Saturday, November 17 at 8:00 pm.
"We're delighted that Mark was able to join us for our autumn series," said Keith Johnson, program director at Off Square Music. "We're excited about our new beautiful venue, and excited to hear Mark again. The sound quality is absolutely great at Unity and it is a very comfortable space."
Off Square Music is now in its tenth season. "We've been lucky," said Johnson. "We've gotten great support from our audiences, and since we began in 2003, the music scene in Woodstock has simply blossomed."
Dvorak, who was recently named Artist in Residence at Chicago's Old Town School of Folk Music will be performing material from his most recent Waterbug release, Time Ain't Got Nothin' On Me, which is still receiving airplay eighteen months after being released. WFMT Fine Arts Radio recently named him "Chicago's Official Troubadour."
"With the great legacy of folk music in Chicago and at WFMT, it's really a great honor," said Dvorak. "I'm thrilled to still be a part of it all after so many years on the road, and in the classroom teaching. Artists have a responsibility to carry forward what they have learned from others; what they have been given. I'm really looking forward to singing at the Unity Spiritual Center."
General admission is $10. Contact Keith Johnson at 815 338 5164 or offsquare@gmail.com for more information on Off Square Music. For a complete schedule of activities, visit www.offsquaremusic.com.
