Chicago troubadour Dvorak returns to Rockford February 1

ROCKFORD IL - Chicago’s “official troubadour” Mark Dvorak is no stranger to Rockford’s acoustic community. In December Dvorak appeared at Just Goods Fair Trade Marketplace Holiday Happening event to benefit the Emmanuel Lutheran Center for Arts & Spirituality, and most recently he joined Rockford-area musical mainstay Ron Holm, Irish balladeer Danny McDade, and keyboardist and vocalist Jannie Nelson for the 3rd annual Rockford Community SingOUT!

"Mark is an absolute favorite here in Rockford,” said Holm. “He’s never failed to pitch in when we’ve staged events to raise money for one cause or another. His show is always engaging and authentic. I just love working with him.”

The Rockford Listening Room welcomes back Dvorak for an intimate evening of song and story on Friday, February 1 at Just Goods Fair Trade Marketplace, 201 7th Street. The concert begins at 7:00 pm.

“It’s been a busy stretch,” said the singer. “I’ve been on the road almost nonstop for the last eighteen months. I’m settling into a new home and getting ready to dig back into writing and recording. I’ve got a lot of songs waiting to be sung and I’m looking forward to hitting the boards again at Just Goods. It’s a wonderful room."

Dvorak has been working on his eighteenth recorded release, “Brand New Wings.”

There is no cover charge. A free will donation is suggested. For more information phone 815 979 1949 or 815 965 8903. Visit
