Monday night concert series to feature Chicago’s “official troubadour” February 13
OAK PARK IL - The Oak Park Arms, 408 S. Oak Park Avenue welcomes folk singer and songwriter Mark Dvorak to its Monday night concert series on February 13 at 7:00 pm. The event is free and open to the public.
The Oak Park Arms is a rental retirement community which provides independent and assisted living apartment space, serving the Chicago and near-west suburbs.
“Our Monday night series has been a long-standing staple of our arts programming,” said Social Director Desi Vasquez. “We are proud to present concerts every other Monday year-round and The Oak Park Arms has hosted some of the finest jazz artists in the Chicago area. We’re branching out this year and are so pleased to have Mark back with us. He gave us an incredible performance earlier in the autumn and we wanted to invite him to our Monday series. We’re simply delighted,” she said.
WFMT 98.7 fm Fine Arts Radio “Midnight Special” host Rich Warren named Dvorak Chicago’s “official troubadour” in 2012. The Chicago Tribune calls Dvorak "masterful," while SING OUT! Magazine says, "Dvorak shines!”
His song writing has been called "wondrous" and "profound," and the Old Town School of Folk Music calls him, "the real deal." Mark Dvorak's song book ranges across the American heartland. His show is funny, passionate, intimate and unforgettable. Don't miss this rare appearance.
