All-star folk triple bill comes to Hinsdale January 12

HINSDALE IL - Acoustic Renaissance Concerts welcomes an New Year’s triple bill on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 8:00 pm. The concert features 18-year veteran of the international folk circuit Joe Jencks, Chicago’s official troubadour Mark Dvorak, and Heather Styka, an award-winning singer songwriter who has risen to national acclaim. Acoustic Renaissance Concerts take place at The Unitarian Church of Hinsdale, 11 W. Maple Street.

Joe Jencks is a celebrated vocalist and songwriter who merges conservatory training with his Irish roots and working class upbringing. He has performed internationally including appearances at the Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall. www.joejencks.com.

Mark Dvorak  is Chicago’s official troubadour. The Chicago Tribune has called him “masterful,” and the Fox Valley Folk Festival describes him as “a living archive of song and style.” His songwriting is regarded as “wondrous” and profound.” www.markdvorak.com.

Heather Styka dances where others fear to tread, gleefully cutting to the truth with gutsy vulnerability. Her honest, image-heavy songs have garnered her a number of awards including New Folk Finalist at the Kerrville Folk Festival and official showcases at Folk Alliance International and regional music conferences across the United States.

Acoustic Renaissance has been presenting concerts at The Unitarian Church of Hinsdale since 1990. Season tickets are available at www.acousticren.com. All shows begin at 8:00 pm, doors open at 7:15. General admission seating is $18 for adults, $16 for students and seniors.
