Folk artist Dvorak back home for Chicago appearance August 18

CHICAGO IL - Wishbone North, 3300 N. Lincoln Avenue, welcomes Chicago’s official troubadour Mark Dvorak to its Thursday music series on August 18 at 7:00 pm. 

“Mark has been on the road for a lot of years it seems,” said house manager Michael Greenberg. "He’s a favorite in Chicago and a legend at the Old Town School. His song writing is incredible. We’re excited to be able to present him.”


“He’s the real deal,” said Bau Graves, Executive Director of Chicago’s Old Town School of Folk Music. ”Mark has made music his life and livelihood. He’s been a top faculty member at the school for more than twenty-five years. His performances are elegant, rich and powerful.”

Dvorak who still teaches at Chicago’s Old Town School and at the same time has kept up a busy summer tour schedule. He’s performed throughout rural Illinois and made stops in Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Tennessee and Colorado. 

“It’ll be good to be back home in Chicago,” said the singer. “I love the sound and the vibe at Wishbone. And the food is fantastic."
